I grew up in Baltimore County. After high school, I worked for a year as a teacher’s assistant in New York City before attending New York University where I majored in psychology. I then studied social work at Washington University in St. Louis.
My clinical career started at the Johns Hopkins Center for Transgender Health where I worked with people preparing for and recovering from gender affirming surgeries. I then spent time doing paralegal and mitigation work for the Maryland state and federal public defenders.
I began as a therapist at an outpatient clinic. I now work for the Baltimore Center for Psychotherapy.
